That One Thing You Said: an exhibit of visual poetry

This exhibit explores language as an agent in pivotal moments, whether interpersonally, socially or globally. Five visual poets (Jordan Abel, Dina Del Bucchia, Lindsay Cahill, Helen Hajnoczky, and Eric Schmaltz) create works that respond to this concept. The exhibit hopes to blur the distinction between visual poetry and visual art by engaging with progressive, reactionary and confessional texts.

Point of Inflection Cinemagraph Project

Point of Inflection: (Real Vancouver Writer’s Series/SAD MAG) Point of Inflection is a collection of short pieces of writing (150 words or less each by approximately 12 writers) around the idea of the focal moment of change (a “point of inflection”), expressed in any way the writer chooses. Local artists Christoph Prevost, David Phu, and Michael Champion will then create a cinemagraph and accompanying musical composition that interprets that piece. We will showcase the collaboration in a final gallery exhibition…
