CIPS Storm Poet Registration

Canadian Individual Poetry Slam (CIPS) Storm Poet Registration Opens TOMORROW (MARCH 1st NOON PST):

If you would like to compete in CIPS but are not representing a specific venue or community we applaud your intrepidity and welcome you to the competition. Registration for Storm Poets begins March 1st at noon PST and is first come first serve, on the day of registration. If you are worried about the registration process, never fear, we’ve just made it easier! You can now register and pay in the same spot, just follow the Brown Paper Tickets link here after noon PST March 1st, or follow the link on our website. Storm poet spots traditionally fill up within a matter of hours, so set those alarms. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the event rules and check out the FAQ section of our website to get acquainted with how the slam works. The Canadian Individual Poetry Slam championships (CIPS) occurs during the Versəs Festival between April 27th and April 30th, each year the winner of this competition has gone on to represent English speaking Canada during the World Poetry Slam in Paris, France (WHAT!?! Yes.) The fee for storm poet is $75, I know what you’re thinking, “wait, where do I pay that fee again?”, just follow the Brown Paper Tickets link and all will be well:

What’s a storm poet?

A storm poet is someone who isn’t an official venue rep, but wants to take part in the competition. Storm poet slots are open to the general public. There will be a limited number of slots. Registration for storm poets begins at noon PST on March 1st, 2016 on a first-come, first-served basis.
